Lambak Kanan is a village in Brunei, and the topography consists of heavy, sticky clayey soil. The Public Works Department, Brunei, had to provide a solution to manage the erosion and prevent further slip failure of the slope. The main concern was to complete the work amidst proximity to private houses.

Slope erosion protection using StrataWeb® was recommended by geotechnical experts. The style recommended for this project was SW 445-200.

Strata’s innovative solution offered a gravity wall made by stacking StrataWeb® in front of bored piles at 2 m height with green fascia using its superior quality product. This reduced the driving force from soil erosion and increased the resistance force of the soil.

A significant aspect of this project was to provide drainage solutions and surface erosion protection. Strata’s value addition to the project included an environment friendly, durable, quick, efficient, and safe installation to save project cost and time.
