What is Roadway Improvement?
Roads get damaged due to extreme weather, inadequate drainage systems, and poor sub-soil conditions, creating the need for improvements. Roadway improvements include greenfield construction, extension, enhancements, upgrades and rebuild of paved roads, access roads, runways and other pavements, to extend or renew the pavement life, and provide stabilisation.

An innovative solution for our next-gen plant
Strata Geosystems began construction for its newest state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Gujarat, India. The plant building is approximately 150,000 sq. ft. and will house the next generation of machinery and automation. The flooring of the plant needed to be levelled and made ready-to-carry heavy loads for the erection of the prefabricated structure.
StrataWeb® geocells for flexible pavement at a manufacturing unit
Strata’s client wanted to strengthen the internal roads of their manufacturing facility of wind turbine towers. The site consisted of weak clayey soil with a CBR (California Bearing Ratio) of 15%, which needed to be strengthened for traffic movement and to minimize the effects of ruts due to vehicular passes.Stratafaced challenges due to the weak subgrade on which the road was to be built; the road needed to cater to very heavy loads, fatigue, and rutting.

The client desired the reconstruction of a section of Bathurst Street for the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada. This vital road to the city needed widening to allow free-flowing traffic through a previously bottlenecked area.
