The existing reservoir in the premises was becoming difficult to clean and maintain due to soil erosion and subsequent turbidity.

The steep slope of the reservoir was close to the road that had heavy traffic. Therefore, while executing the project, it was crucial to eliminate any erosion from the top of the road’s crest. In addition, the curvature of the slope provided some additional challenges, which were overcome by Strata’s solution.

StrataWeb® SW 660-125 was installed and infilled with concrete over a geomembrane. The StrataWeb® style was selected in such a way that there was no need for connection along the length of the slope. i.e. the slope of the reservoir was 12 meters, and the StrataWeb® panel was 12.63 meters.

Strata’s value addition included effortless installation with unskilled labour and 20% transportation cost savings as StrataWeb® truck loading is exceptionally efficient.

Therefore StrataWeb® was selected as an innovative solution for construction to protect the slope.
