​StrataDrain™ not only effectively separates the landfill from the environmental layer preventing the leaching of hazardous byproducts into the environment, leachate materials as well as gas emissions are channeled through drainage pipes for better recycling practices.

A landfill built with StrataDrain™ is constructed in two layers, the inner layer is the drainage layer which channels leachate, and the outer layer is a geomembrane placed below the primary layer. Flow of leachate from the outer layer indicates there is a structural breach in the primary layer, however the waste will still continue to be channeled appropriately while raising a red flag.
